Today was a hard day to swallow. I had to see my little guy walk across the stage and grab his little diploma for preschool. As we watched some of the slideshows, I shed a few tears, as they kept showing pictures of baby years to now. I woke up this morning and to look a good look at him and it's hard to believe how big he has gotten in the matter of weeks let alone years! He is just a couple weeks shy of his 5th birthday and I don't know how many times I can say, that it makes me just depressed! My sweet little boy is growing up!

Noah spent 3 years at Old Fort Baptist Church in Summerville, SC. It was an exceptional place to socialize and learn! He has had such good care with his teachers and I am so impressed with what this church has done in their Child Day's Out and Preschooler program. Noah learned A LOT these past two years and had exceptional teachers! We are not members of this church but they have taken such good care of Noah over the years and we have enrolled Katelyn to start her first year in August!
So Josh has been gone for about a month. He spent the entire month bouncing from state to state and country to country. He was in Savannah Georgia for two weeks and then flew out to Little Rock, Arkansas for a few days just so that I can turn around the next day and drive him back to the airport so that he could fly commercially to Hawaii.Photobucket Photobucket It was there that he was about to start his amazing adventure! I mean, Hawaii isn't a bad place to start off any trip! He was able to stay there and relax for a couple days before heading to Australia and New Zealand. PhotobucketPhotobucketThey know they have a sweet life!PhotobucketHe went rock climbing in New Zealand and checked out all the shopping in Wellington. They left there and headed over to Thailand! In all of these places that they stop and stay at, they are staying in 5 star resorts! Not so bad huh? Well..he's still working! PhotobucketPhotobucketI suppose it's probably wasting the government money but at the same time, I think safety is an issue too. Anyway, after landing in Thailand, the guys enjoyed the pool, the walk up bar, thai food, and some tourism. They got to see the famous Walking Street. (If you haven't heard of this before, you can YOU TUBE it) Women selling themselves for cheap, handlers trying to sell you something, kids jumping on your back, and nightclubs galore. It's not exactly where you'd want to take the wife and kids! However, the best part was that Josh was able to ride an elephant! He was also picked up by one from it's trunk! He was so amazed that he was actually riding an elephant! Photobucket I am so jealous! PhotobucketPhotobucketThe next stop was Korea where Josh was able to visit his brother who has been assigned by the Air Force to be there for a whole year! There's not much there so Josh was really glad that he was able to visit his brother who is almost done with his year remote there. Josh is heading his way to Guam next and then he will be making his way back to South Carolina! Thank Goodness because Mommy is starting to run on fumes! Exhaustion is an understatement and boy are these kids wearing me out!

Katelyn is getting bigger and talking more and more. She is so cute when she talks and it's hard to believe that she will be 2 at the end of August. Noah is already gearing up for his birthday and discussing presents, friends, and where he wants to have his party! I can't believe my little guy is another year older. I am so sad!

Well, this kind of closes this post for now. Check back for updates as Josh will be going to Paris in June!!! Meanwhile the kids and I will head back to Virginia Beach!!!
I love to capture these two together. Noah is truly smitten with his baby sister. I'm not sure how long this will last but I definitely have proof that he adored her at one time in his life! Katelyn says Noah's name a 1000 times a day. She wakes up looking for him and when she goes to bed, the last thing she says is "ny ny Noah"

I've noted that these two are very different in personalities. Noah is cautious, sensitive, and extremely sweet. Katelyn is a strong willed, dare devil with no care for anything but herself at that very given moment. Yet her laugh and smile will draw you in like no other! She is more than entertaining! I've been blessed with two sweethearts and I just know that I'm raising two amazing human beings!

It's been a very long time since we've shared our world with the world. I started out with my blog to keey our friends and family updated with the happenings in our daily lives. With our kids growing so fast before our eyes, it was a fantastic idea to journal it right here on blogger. It was really easy to do while Josh was deployed but as soon as he got back, our lives got busy and I put this on the back burner. Since my last post...Josh came back from his four month deployment and unfortuantely we had no vacation and life suddenly became too fast to keep up with!
Josh and I both started school and if that wasn't enough to keep us up late at night and hardly conversing with another, Josh was upgrading to the most senior level at his job, and I was collaborating with a photographer to start a business with photography here in Charleston. On top of all that, we had two kids that needed our undivided attention and lots of love!!! No matter how busy we get, they are our first priority!

Noah is two months shy of turning 5 which makes it difficult to breathe as I type this. My bond with Noah is something magical. He is truly an angel sent from God and I want to freeze him at this age and keep him by my side forever. I never imagined that having children would bring this KIND of joy into my life. It's unexplainable to friends who do not have kids. I feel very blessed and am so thankful for the life I have led so far.

My daughter Katelyn is completely the opposite of Noah. She's tough, strong willed, and fearless. She hates hearing the word "NO" at 1 years old and I imagine it's only going to get harder to say No! She is our cuddle bug and her laugh is infectious. She is the little comedian in the family and she melts our hearts everyday! She's talking up a storm now and every hour it seems she is saying a new word! But I think if I added up all the words she says in a day, Noah would be the most repeated!
